My Groom... such a loser!

(Meggie @ Dawes Co. Fair- Aug 2006)

Yep, he has lost even more weight.... this morn the scale indicated 3 more lbs. HE STINKS! I have heard that guys lose faster..... Anyhow, he already got called gfor work. He only had 18 hours off, and the usual is 30. OOPS! At least we got to see each other a little.

Last night, right after school we headed out to the ranch to help with vaccinations and branding. Got there in time to help sort and try to pair them up. It seems some of the first year momma-cows forget who their babies are and try to claim someone elses.... Stupid hefers! SO, we branded around twenty head. Andy and Matt helped sooooo much! Andy actually held some calves down while branding! Matt helped with the gates and pushing calves to different pens. Matt is not afraid of cows, Andy is. It is strange! ANyhow, Meggie sat on the 4 wheeler nearby and watched with Papa next to her keeping the books. Unkie and Auntie were there too and it was a family fun night!!! Then we went in and made spaghetti and ate together. Very nice. I then got on Mom's elliptical for 20 mins. It didn't hurt! Imagine, me excercising???? Strange, huh? This is REALLY a lifestyle change! Fight to be thin!

OH Yea! I'm so Excited!

(Vacation May 2007- Jeffey; Beautiful Grand Tetons from the distance.)

Good Morning~

Yesterday was a whirlwind!

First, big Chamber Board Meeting. We were discussing the Tourist Booth (Cabin) near the highway and the hiring of the summer help. Then we interviewed several ladies for the job. Got one hired! We had a huge long meeting!

Second, BNSF Meeting at the Ranch House, discussing the removal of the 2nd man on the Helpers. They are axing 12 jobs here in Crawford! That means that I will be working ALL BY MYSELF on the Locomotive! UGH! Sound un SAFE???? Yes, it is. Pray that no one is hurt....

Third, MOPS meeting. WENT SOOOO well. We had a great time with the craft and the laughing. It was a good thing that it came last on the list for meetings.... I needed to laugh with my girlfriends! Thanks GIRLS for the encouragement and laughs!

Finally, Meggie is working HARD on the potty training! She had a few accidents yesterday, and wanted pantie this morning first thing. SO, we are on the right track. We are approaching 8 years of diapers (w/ one 2 week break). YIPPEE! AND very costly!

Lastly. Andy is having probs. in school with talking toooooo much. He is losing his recesses! Golly! Must take after his Mommy... Feel for him!

Well, no work today. Possibly tonight. Jeff will be home late afternoon, and hopefully we can have a family night. I need some nurturing from him.... take Care

LOSER! LOSER! LOSER!

(Brandi & myself, Aug. 2007?)

YEA! We are doing it! Jeff, Lisa and & I lost 3 pounds each this week on Wednesday weigh-in....

YIPPEE! At this rate, I will make my goal by Jeff's birthday in Oct. for sure. Lisa and I went for a super long walk this morning. I am not sure how far we are walking, but it was cold and rainy and we still went! I am the walking nazi. "Faster. further!"

Fight to be thin! We can do it!

Otherwise, I am busy with MOPS stuff while Jeffey changes the oil in every vehicle, and cleans his garage. Kids are well. Andy had to stay after school for saying, "boobie" sometime during computer class. He was so embarrassed, and sad. He cried telling me about it. I just laughed and told him that we all make mistakes, just as long as we learn from them.... I am still learning, too.

Have a great day!

Hugs, B

Oh, what a sleepy day!

Yep, I worked at midnight to 7:20 this morning.... Ugh! I am sooo tired. Okay, I am drinking my coffee at 5:30 at night. A little wierd. Huh? Life of a railroading Mommy...
We just came back from a long walk w/ Lisa and kids. Every little bit helps, right? Anyhow, kiddo's had thier last night of "kids bowling" after school. They sure enjoyed it, and got scores of Matt-52 Andy-47. So, they are improving.

Oh, yea, Meggie is much better. Eating is tough yet for her. SO, I did what any good Mommy would do and bought her some hot dogs! she loves them ='..'=

Well, not much happening. I need to get the MOPS craft lined up, as waiting on some further inspiration.... And now it seems I will be doing the devotional. Better read up at work tonight!

Take Care,
Hugs to all of you

Tongue Tied?

(Above, Meggie and Grandma making pretty eggs. Below, Meggie's tongue 48 hours later)

Okay, I think we are healing here. On Saturday, after Meggie and I had a much needed nap, we went to the farm with intentions to stay the night out there. Which we did! The boys had a great time getting dirty and riding the 4 wheelers through the mud! They love to get dirty.... As the saying goes,"BOY: noise with dirt on it." It is so true. ANyhow, they got to shot the BB gun, and the .22 with Papa. They had a great time.
Meggie just wanted to play puzzles with Gma and Papa. And Grandma made her a vanilla shake to drink, and she did. Meggie drank some water and that was it! Worrys me that she may get dehydrated...

I just relaxed and enjoyed the peacefulness of the farm. We checked cows with the 4 wheelers, as Meggie was up to the ride. We enjoyed seeing all of the fresh baby calves. Meggie said, "AWWW, so cute!" We sure giggled!

Well, today the boys are outside already playing bball, and eating their chocolate bunnies.

Take Care, hugs, B

Forked Tongue????

Megan is speaking with a forked tongue. Yep, her and her brothers were jumping on the hide a bed this morn, and she somehow cut her tongue nearly in half! We rushed her to the ER, but they decided not to do anything for her, as the tongue heals quickly. YEP, a wasted trip, but I felt better. It was A LOT of blood, and looks horrible if she lets you look at it! We hope all is better tomorrow.
We went to the AWESOME Crawford egg hunt. The kids got lots of eggs and had a great time. I think every child got lots of eggs, too. Thank YOU to all of the volunteers that put an awesome hunt on. YOU ALL did a great gob! Pat yourselves on the back!

Well, Meggie wants to go see Grandma & Papa, so we are off to the farm.

Have a HAPPY Easter,

Hugs, Us

My Great Old Pals Inspirational Comment....

(The following is a note a great friend sent to me, and totally inspired me to continue on my lifestyle change... She is the thinnest she has ever been. So, please read and be inspired too!)

Truly? I run to relieve stress. Right now I don't get to the gym as often as I want because of my studies but I try to hit it 4 times a week. I zone out and put my mp3 to work. I allow myself an hr. and when I know I have that long to just take care of me, I feel free. No deadlines to make me quit early, shit like that. My ex fiancee bled me dry for emotional needs. Sucked! I was 150 around jan. I didn't work out cause he knew how to manipulate me into feeling guilty when I left him on many occasions....! NO more! Yeah, It is very difficult to quit eating. So don't! Learn to take portion sizes and then QUIT when you are satisfied, not full. I also graze throught the day when I'm up and around. THAT helps ALOT! Fruit baby. I dont follow any one diet like cutting back on fruits because of sugar. The only thing I try to not do is eat alot of carbs. I am allergic to wheat anyway so that kind of kills it right there. Oatmeal, brown rice, I LOVE whole grains, and I love to cook with fresh foods. Can't wait til the schoolwork is done! (see, stress GRRRR) God made fruit and my body needs all that so eat that instead of bread that can be bought over the counter! YUCK! 4 real, just take what your body needs and no more. Yeah, I fail sometimes and go overboard but once you train youself to do that, the next time you over endulge your stomach will let you know that's for sure! The hardest part is DILLIGENCE! you and I grew up to not waste and that is hard to break that thought process. Plus your job has much to do with dieting. Since you work nights i dont know if you can work out before you go to sleep. Or when you get up and moving around before work do it then. That actually would be good cuz that would keep you going for two or three hrs. Cardio CARDIO! Target heart rate zone. know where yours is at. got to keep it high if the weight is coming off. Weight watchers is good too. Holds you accountable and that is a good thing.Wow! I wrote a book! LOL I love to work out. After a while I get to the point where i need it. I usually go right after work if i can. When I know I can't I eat protein like cheese and meat. popcorn for muchin' :)Take heart! I know you can do it. I have seen you before when the weight is gone. Awesome! plus you have a git er' done attitude. Use that to fuel your mind and paasion for what you want for yourself! With three kids it is most difficult. Buy a kick ass treadmill so there is no excuse not to do it. Let us keep each other on track! :) I so need someone to help me from time to time. I lose my giddy up every now and then because I sabotage myself sometimes thinking I am not worthy to be thin. ( Yeah, I have some ISSUES...working on that LOL) But I know I have the right to be healthy..especially since i do not have health insurance. That comes when I am licensed. It is most important that I keep myself healthy as much as possible.Thin, healthy, happy, for you, your hubby, your KIDS!
But YOU first.......I love ya girl! Keep it going!Virgie

Happy Day!

Daddy-O & Meg- May 2007

Hiya all!

I am just plain tired today! I worked the 9:00 pm job last night and just haven't seemed to recover yet! Lisa & I went on a nice long walk towards the Fort. It was windy, but we made it. I have lost 3 pounds (without clothes on) despite the birthday goodies. Jeffey has lost 8 pounds! What a TURD! I guess guys lose faster than us! NOT FAIR! Okay, I will continue on with the program. Stay motivated and FIGHT TO BE THIN! Yep, harder that the quiting smoking thing for me. Anyhow, Jeffey make me a low fat lunch. Or should I say made US. He is getting with the program, and working out, too. Watch out, we may be buff by the summer....

Well, not much else going on. Kiddos had a great day at school and thought lunch was delicious. Corn dogs, was on the menu.... UGH!

Take Care all!

Umm, now what?

(Jess & I March 15, 2008)

Good Day pals!

How are you all? We are soo enjoying the beautiful weather. Meggie and I went on a huge long walk with Lisa this morning.... Whew! We felt the burn! It felt good, as no pain, no gain(or loss). SO, then we did a little highlights on Lisa's hair and ate a yummy chef's salad. I went to bed as it was nap time for Meggie and Mommy. I hadn't been to bed yet. I was called for 2:30 this morning, and got off at 8:30 this morning. ARGH!

Meggie is refusing to be potty trained, and won't even go and get her own diaper today. What a little 2 year old.... very frustrating.

The boys are ornery as usual.... won't do what they are told unless I threaten them. Hmmmm, just think my patience is at a minimum.

Sleep will make it all go away!

Take Care!

Matt's Weekend...

Yep, I had my 6th birthday party! First, Daddy and Mommy were both home with me all weekend long! My Grandma and Grandpa brought my cousins with them from Paxton. I love having them here! We played the Wii and ate Staabs chicken on Friday night, and stayed up really late! Then on Saturday morning we all ate cereal and we kids went outside and played and then played the Wii. Mommy made my awesome shotgun birthday cake! YUMMY! It was chocolate! Meggie got a fork out to have a bite of it while Mommy was frosting it! No, no Meggie, you have to wait until the party!~ We went to the bowling alley and had a fun time with my cousins, my god-cousins(Haley, Spencer, Shelby, Jess and Jason), my school pals (Dennis, Kylah) And good friends RJ and Sydney. Grandpa Mark even bowled! We had a great time! The cake and ice cream was soooooooo good, I had seconds. Then we came home and Daddy made delicious spaghetti, and bread. We all ate seconds again! YUMMY! Then we played outside and then the Wii. What a great day! i got a lifetime hunt/fish permit, and new Wii fishing game, and some othe goodies. YEA! I am so happy! Today we are outside playing football and the Wii with Daddy. Mommy & Meggie had a nap. When I grow up, I want to hunt and fish all of the time!

What happened to us?

Isn't it weird how we perceive ourselves?
I still think in my mind that I am a size 12. Strange, huh? I can't see the chubbiness until a photo is taken of me. I can see the results.....UGH!
Some fat lady has taken me over, and sort of looks like me. YUCK! I look like I have been blown up with some air.... My face, UGH!
Okay, I AM doing something about it. So, far so good. Watching and journaling what I put IN MY MOUTH. Not easy. More later.....

Ode To The After Baby Dieter
Looking in the mirror
At what once was small and thin
Now you stare
two babies later
At a giant ball of skin!
It hasn't been too long now
Since you started your new diet
There's a snack bar round the corner
But so far, you've passed right by it!
It took two years to get this big
And lots of bread and gravy
To try and change it in one night's
Like making straight hair wavy!
It takes endurance, pain, and sweat
To get to where you'll see it!
It's possible, just focus on
The fact that soon you'll BEAT it!
Don't constantly look in the mirror
To search in vain for rhyme!
You'll see the curves and shapes you want
Just give your body time!
You're doing good! You're eating less
And still enjoying meals!
You're excercising - keep it up!
Hold tight to how it feels!
Twenty pounds is not too far off
For now, make that your goal!
2 pounds a week is healthy
Few more weeks and there ya go!
I'm proud of you! You're doing great!
And holding your dreams tight!
The weight will soon be history
But not without a fight!

HOLY SHIT!~

(OUR "BEFORE" SHOTS)

Okay, I did it. (SORRY for the profanity!) I weighed myself..... Yep, nearly had a heart attack!!!!!!!!!! OMG. OMG.

What happened???? I cannot believe it. It snuck up on me..... I tried on a pair of capris (rom last year) and they were tight.... ANXIETY! Yep, that's what did it.

Now, the plan. Yes, we are doing weight watchers our way(no meetings, just support each other). Jeff, Mom, and Lisa have agreed to go in with me.

Any other takers? We will be our own support group. Okay, let me know what you all think. Stress does this to us.....

Went to a party...

We went to a retirement party for a co-worker and friend last night in S.bluff. A guy took our picture as he thought Meggie was so cute, and e-mailed to me. So, here is another rare photo of us together. The boys had a great time with the other kids there and didn't want to leave... AND I got to visit with an old friend from jr. high (in Bayard). Virginia and I have a long history together, and we haven't seen each other for at least 10 years.... alot of water under the bridge. But, we picked up where we left off. No judgements, just old friends reliving the funny past.... We promised each other to keep in better touch. She is a funny gal who keeps we laughing! We came home at 9:00 p.m. as I had to go to work at 11:30. Yep, another job change. I NOW HAVE WED> THURS days off.... I know I can't keep up either. Damn railroad. Take Care all!

Awesome Pics!

Our Cutie Contest.... at our house!

Taken by Mommy, this morning.

Okay....

I really can't keep up with this thing! The time seems to escape me, and before you know it a week has gone by. Okay, here's the news since the last blog. I am working in Alliance as Engineer on the West Pool. I have no choice until a vacancy opens up in the Yard or the East Pool. So, we will make it through. I haven't been down that line for several years. I will need a co-pilot re familiarize.

Okay, that is boring stuff. As for the kiddo's, they are all great. Matt is enjoying school lunches, and that is strange for him.. Andy has been dumped by his girlfriend Cheney, and he has worried about it for a fraction of a second. His mind is on spring baseball.... Meggie, her vocab is getting better and better..... too cute, She says, "knock it off!"

Jeffey is busy with work, and keeping us warm with wood.

Me, busy with laundry, dishes, and ect. I squeezed out time to make some jewelry yesterday with Lisa. We had some good laughs! Take Care!

Another week gone???

Geeze, where does the days go? Okay, I was working the Helpers Engr. X, Board until today. Got bumped AGAIN! ARGH!!! So, back to being a brakeman again. UGH! UGH! UGH! At least I can still work here in Crawford, though. SO, tomorrow I will be back to that.

Jeff & I went to a retirement party in Edgement for a pal of ours. We ate a delicious steak and baked potato at The Victory Bar. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. YUMMY! and a very cool decor of "old west" stuff. We were home by 11:45, and up at 8:00 to get the kiddo's at Lisa's. So, we are getting old and need to go home early?!?!?

The kiddo's had a great time outside all day yesterday. They rode their bikes in the mud, and played football & baseball in the backyard. Meggie played with her outdoor toys, and had a hay day! Sydney and RJ were here to enjoy the weather too. Lisa, Brandi, Debbie and I worked on the recipe boxes. They turned out sooooo cute! I am so proud of my friends creative skills;)

I had a surprise visit with my old pal, Muffy Forney today! She stopped by and visited with us and commented on how the kiddos are growing up too fast! Good to see her and hope to get together with her soon for lunch and shopping in Chadron. I have missed her company!

Well, Mom and Dad are feeling better and think that they had the flu. they just think that they heal slower since they are older! Geeze, I told them they are only as old as they think they are;)

Take Care, Hugs, B
