(Article from MSN)
Bathroom Tiles
Top tool: CLR Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaner from Jelmar ($5.99 for 26 ounces) whitens tile grout faster than anything we've tried, with less scrubbing. It also zaps hard-water film and stains. At idealtruevalue.com.Our tip: After cleaning wall tiles, apply car wax to help repel soil.

Kitchen Floors
Top tool: Vileda's new UltraMax Mop ($19.99) comes with a removable, washable pad for wet cleaning and dry dusting. Ultra-absorbent and slim, it reaches where other mops can't go. At mass merchandisers and drug and grocery stores; 800-543-8105; vileda.com. Our tip: Between moppings, clean scuff marks with a dab of baking soda paste; wipe with a damp towel.

Hard-to-Reach Windows
Top tool: Sunshine's X-Stream Clean Window Washer with Detachable Squeegee ($14.99) extends to 59 inches and has a squeegee, a cloth, and an onboard bottle of cleaner. 800-827-8669; sunshinebrands.com.Our tip: To make your own glass cleaner, add 2 tablespoons clear ammonia to 1 quart water.

Toilets
Top tool: Replace drippy, germy brushes with Scotch-Brite's new Disposable Toilet Bowl Scrubbers ($4.99 for a handle and four scrubbers). The built-in cleanser activates when the scrubber hits the water. It reaches under the rim to zap stains. At mass merchandisers nationwide; 800-846-8887; scotchbrite.com. Our tip: After cleaning, pour in a cup of bleach, brush, let stand for 10 minutes, then flush.

Ceiling Fans/Chandeliers
Top tool: Procter & Gamble's Swiffer Duster with Extendable Handle ($7.99) has a pivoting head that works like a dust magnet. It's soft on delicate fixtures, yet tough on grimy ceiling fan blades. At mass merchandisers and grocery stores; 800-214-8734; swiffer.com. Our tip: To quickly clean chandelier crystals, go over each with a glass-cleaning wipe and dry with a cloth.

Carpet Stains
Top tool: Nothing we've tried zaps food stains like Spotless Carpet and Upholstery Dry Cleaning Towels ($12.95 for 40). They erased wine, coffee, and mustard without leaving residue or hurting the carpet's pile. 866-776-8253. Our tip: After treating a spot, place paper towels and a heavy pot on it; leave overnight to absorb any stains that may be deep in the rug.

Dusting in Tight Spaces
Top tool: The tried-and-true Unger Total-Reach DusterPlus Kit ($29.99), with its slim head and four-foot handle, is still our favorite. Use the microfiber cloth along walls or the disposable sleeves under appliances. 800-833-6100; stacksandstacks.com.Our tip: For the slats of louvered doors or air-conditioning vents, use your vacuum's soft-brush attachment.

Butte-i-full!

Another pic.... got a camera lens dirt spot.... damn!

Hee HAW! It was fun!

( piCS 4 THE Clubhouse....)

Hiya!
We had a busy weekend!
The kids had Gma and Papa in on Friday night for the Rockies game.... and the Rocks lost by one point... A major disappointment for the "big" fans in the family. Then Gma stayed over....with Matt in the bottom bunk.
On Saturday, they all packed up and headed for the Autism Awareness walk in Chadron. It sounded like they had a heck of a great time. They walked in the PAC, then had fun, food and games at the fairgrounds. I wasn't able to attend due to work. But next year I will definitely make it. It is so important to inform others that IT IS NOT a stigma to have any form of Autism. We can accept it as anything else is. AND more people need to learn about it (i.e. teachers.) Matt-Man had a great time with his school-mate Kylah and his siblings at the event.
I had a GREAT time at the Rodeo Fundraiser with Lisa and Mrs. R. We laughed until we cried! Geeesh! What a good time despite my hubby not getting there from work until the very end. BOOOO HOOOO! But, oh well. Us girlies had a fun time!
Well, gotta slug my coffee down and head to work. Looks like on a couple more weeks until I get bumped back to the night job.... UGH!
Hugs,

We done gone GrEeN!

Hey All!

I took today off of work! YEA! I need to take Matt to therapy, and have a pedi, haircut and physical therapy myself. SO another busy day here. But, there is some thoughts that have been spinning around in my head....

Now, this "going Green" thing is a big buzz word now, and it has been driving me a bit crazy. I know that my family and ALL of my past generations have ALWAYS been green. We are hoarders, pack-rats, believers in usefulness of everything. This doesn't mean that we are junky-folks. We just find use for everything, or someone that could use it. Remembering my grandma, she recycled before there was the word. She re-used bread bags, washed them and hung them to dry... oh, then of course the zip-locks when they came out. When she use aluminum foil, yep, you guessed, she washed it and reused it. She always hung her clothes on the line, even in the winter. Grandma salvaged elastic, bra hooks, every bit of lace. I know this, as I have her beloved sewing machine cabinet filled still to this day with her precious pieces. She patched on top of patches on her family's clothes, and darned socks (not just trashing them). Everything she grew in her garden was used, right down to the green tomatoes.... she was a hell of a cook, and could fix something up quickly out of nothing. She hardly threw anything into the burn barrel! They even used newspapers for insulation in their home. So, what is "going green" really mean? I guess we need to reflect on our roots. Recycle more, think twice about throwing things away; maybe, donate it to charity. Use less.... I will heed those words. too.

I am told that we come from some seriously tough stock. I guess we had to, as our family was homesteaders out on the prairie/buttes east of Crawford (where my parents still tend the land) They survived it all; blizzards, dirt storms, drought upon drought, rain, mud up to your hips, and deaths. Thank the Lord that we are tough, because we are still in a storm of our own. Thank YOU to the past generations for teaching us to cherish life, and to be "green" from the get go!

It's chaos, but sort of organized!

Yep, it's been crazy around here! Since returning from the R/W Game this weekend, I have been working 10+ hour days with extreme pain! Yep, back is a hurtin'. I think that it is too much sitting. Otherwise we are faring well.
Tonight is Weight Watchers if I get home from work in time. We will see. I need to go as I have missed the past two times. And I feel the pounds returning....
Okay, need to get to work. Yep, walking to work. Take Care all of you, and I sure do miss you all. Time is speeding past us, and we have no time for ourselves. I hope that Thursday we can remedy that!
Hugs...........................................2U!

A Flaw.....

One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in.They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas. They give moral support to their family and friends.Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
Thanks Girls for being there for me.....

Anyhow, more later.... got lots to do and deal with today. Please pray for Matt and our family to help him!

Here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick-chick!

Yep, we went to the farm store today just to see the chicks. Meggie had already seen some at school today, but they were bigger and already had adult feathers! So, Daddy-O and Meggie had a great time looking at the chicks.

I spent most of the day cleaning Meggie's room. It looks awesome now! I am trying to pound it into her head to keep it that way. I also started on the boys' room. But barely made a dent before we had to leave for the Wrestlers Supper at the Fort. It was a lovely supper, and most of the parents made it for it. We got to visit with several folks while the kiddo's had a snow ball fight.

After supper, we stopped by the new Clubhouse and had a beer. Boy, it is a beautiful clubhouse! I am thinking that we will spend some time out there for several reasons; we have a membership now, and the clubhouse is SMOKE FREE! YIPPEE! So, let the snow melt, cause I wanna GOLF!

Well, tomorrow will be more of the cleaning and preparing for a girls night....

Take Care,

HUgs............................2U!

It's a Vacation (from work ;) !!!!

(Ahhhhh........Fiji......dreamin of a real vacation!)

YEA, I'm on vacation!

I had big plans.... like cleaning out our yard of all the old flower debris, golfing a little, and just hanging out in the backyard!

HA! Mother nature put a stop to that!

So, today, I am cleaning Meggie's room. Then starting on the boys' room. I mean sorting their clothes, their toys and trashing stuff!

So, No slowing down..... Jeffey is here, too. SO, maybe he will help?

Have a great day!

p.s. remember the Jewelry party tomorrow night. It is sure to be a lot of laughs!

Hugs,

B

It's STILL Snowing!

Okay, it is still going strong! This must mean that we are going to have a green, wet spring? YIPPEE!!! We love mud! Anyhow, I am off to work. I don't think we will do anything cause there is no train out there moving. It seems that the snow plugs the switches up, and then the switch heaters can't keep up with them. So, maybe we will just get sent home rather than on a snow clearing mission.... I hope!
Well, enjoy another snow day! The kids are getting cabin fever, and not behaving well. Mostly they are fighting. ARGH!

NO FRiGgiN WAY!

(New jeans style! Cute huh?)

You have got to be kidding me!?!?! This blizzard is ridiculous! So much for the wrestling meet today.... we are hanging out at home and having some crazy fun! Giggling, screaming and ect..... Thank the LORD that Daddy-O is home with us. K, have a great snow day!

Yesterday, the Dr. gave me more pain meds, a pain patch and some new exercises to help my back. He said that it is a tear in a disk, which is leaking fluid onto my reduculum, cause irritation, and pain! He was a pretty cool Dr. and wasn't in a huge hurry. I appreciated that! So, we went and got my prescriptions filled (took forever at Walgreen's!) And I was happily-pain free by the time we got home.

We then went for a romantic lunch @ The Great Wall. They have such a nice atmosphere. I had a healthy chicken/veggie with no sauce entree, and Jeffey had some kind of Lo Mein. Pretty tasty, and we had hot tea together, too. Loved it! I rarely get one-on-one with him, so I just enjoyed it.... Then, Jeffey and I went to Gordmans, and shopped for some new jeans for him. I had in mind some new "hip" jeans for him. BUT, they proved to be all WAY too short. How do tall guys wear these styles? We ended up with a couple of pairs of Levi's 569's and he picked a couple pairs of Polo jeans.... so, he is sorta coming into the 2000's..... then we went to Target and got the E.B. stuff. We had a lot of fun, and truly enjoyed each others company!

Have a great snow day!

hugs!

Thoughts....

(Easter 2008, with Papa @ the Egg Hunt.)

Oh, many thoughts have gone through my mind this morning in the shower....

1. I wish my back felt better so that I can be able to garden and golf this spring.... I have some big plans and the painful back is definitely not in those plans!

2. This weight loss/getting healthy is getting easier, mostly because of the WW program is easy to follow. Ma & and were losers again this week! AND, I know that I have an eating disorder. What an ugly thing that is! I am programmed to over-indulge without giving it a thought! Those thoughts are changing, and I am able to "CONTROL" my self with self-talking. It is working!

3. Why must people be so damn ignorant! ARGH! Walk away......

4. I think getting up in the morning is sort-of difficult after working nights so much!

5. My hubby is going to Rapid with me tomorrow! Yea! We need some time together to reconnect. Both of us working crazy shifts has a large impact on our lives. It is not normal, that is for sure. Especially when you sleep together maybe once a week....

6. My Mom is looking pretty good with her weight loss.... I can see her thin-ness!

7. Thank God for really great family & friends! I love you guys!

Have a great DAY!

p.s. Thank YOU Jess for being an awesome support to myself and our family..... you guys are the best!

Ode to more sleep.....

(I want this, I am tired of getting stuck with my car or van. The trick is to convince Jeffey)

I am sooooo tired. That's it. Can't think. Too tired.

I have Weight Watchers tonight, and I am pretty sure that I have lost... not really sure how much as it fluctuates so much during the day. I will update later.

Also, I have a appointment in Rapid on Friday due to the rescheduled from Monday. I don't have anyone to go with me..... wanna go?

Have a great day!

Nigh, Night!

My favs.
